It’s movement. It’s animation. You see it everyday – at the movies, on TV, on the web, or even in stores – but you probably didn’t know it had a name. Motion graphics is the mysterious title sequence that sets the mood for the latest sci-fi movie, the beautiful animated graphics that introduce Olympic events, the cool interface on that website you use to design your own snowboard.
As a Motion Design major at Ringling, you’ll constantly push the creative envelope by developing new and innovative visual imagery. You’ll challenge yourself to experiment and explore new ways of communicating a concept. You’ll assume a variety of roles, from graphic designer, to storyboard artist, to animator, to editor, to art director – and have fun doing it all.
